Full Screen text colour not changing

Hi guys,

I’m using a trial of Scrivener on Windows 8. (loving it!)

I’m trying to customise the display colours for the full screen mode.

I have been able to change the background colour but when I try to change the text colour only the flashing cursor changes to the desired colour… the text stays black!

Any ideas?

Go to Options (F12), click Appearance in the left pane. Then click the arrow next to Full Screen under Colors and click Text. Click the colored rectangle to the right of this pane (should be black as a default, I think). Then you can choose the color. Click OK to get out of the color selection window and OK again to save the changes. Then you should be good to go.

Hi Sanguinius,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, how to change the colour isn’t the problem. I’ve already done all of this.

When I, for example, change the text to red (just so it stands out for testing) only the flashing carat cursor turns red - the text stays black!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Update… after resetting all settings to default and restarting Scrivener (again) the problem has gone away. Strange glitch!

I wonder if I had set a text colour in the Editor option panel that overrode the appearance settings? That’s the only explanation I can think of.
