Im in the process of getting rid of all styles in my project. After halfway through the first scene of chapter 1 it stopped working throughout, whether I use Format-> Style-no style or alt-> shift → 0.

If your goal is to remove all styles from your document, you can reset the formatting to the default settings defined in your global preferences.
To begin, ensure your global settings are configured as desired by going to File ▸ Options, then navigating to the Editing tab, followed by the Formatting tab. From there, set your preferred formatting options.
Once you have adjusted your global settings, you can apply them to your existing documents. Select the relevant documents in the Binder, then go to Documents ▸ Convert ▸ Text to Default Formatting. A dialog box will appear—ensure all checkboxes are left unchecked to strip all formatting, including styles, and replace it with the default settings.
Please note that some of your text may have direct formatting (such as manual font changes, bold, or italics) applied, which will not be fully addressed by the “No Style” option.

great, that worked except I had to check the styles checkbox to get rid of all the styles.
