I want to see the bordered all caps heading on all the front matter & chapter heading pages, and I’ve ALMOST got it working. What am I missing?
My chapter headings look exactly right; my Dedication & “About this book” pages look fine, too; my epilogue heading page is close enough.
I’d like the ToC to have that bordered heading, too, but it won’t do it, no matter what section layout I choose in the Compile panel.
The section layout for the front matter files is “Table of Contents (Bordered).” The section layout for the chapter headings is “Chapter Heading (Bordered),” and the layout for the epilogue is "Heading (Bordered).
I’m attaching some screenshots so you can see what I mean.
This ToC is for e-readers, and you can remove it from the Spine. Add an HTML ToC via the Sixth tab above the Right hand side column in the Compile Overview window. Now you will have a document that you can edit the way you want.
Give it the same Section Type and Section Layout as the Chapters, and they should look the same. If a Page Break appears below the title, copy the Section Layout and remove the New Page after in the Separators tab of the Compile Format Designer.
You can reach the Compile Format Designer by double-Clicking the Compile Format you’re using in the left column of the Compile Overview window.
