Ghosts of Formats Past

In using Scrivener, I keep finding that whenever I boldly kill a format (Bold, for instance) and change back to Normal text, that Bold format boldly (sorry!) returns from whatever was its invisible resting place, and alters my new Normal textual input from Normal to Bold. It’s so annoying! This happens whenever I delete words that end my paragraph.

I think other Mac text editors might do this as well. How can one more effectively prevent deceased formatting commands from haunting the rest of one’s writing?

Zombies! They’re everywhere!

Sorry, don’t know the answer to your question, tho.

Are you deleting all of the bold text, and then finding that new text typed is still bold? If so, a space character may still be bold and your new typing is picking up the format from that.
