Install of 2 went well. Converted 1.x project to 2 okay. However, most icons in the binder appear greyed out, including when choosing custom icons or creating new documents and folders. This is not the case when simply creating a new project. Images below. Any advice appreciated.
Greyed custom icons (and default folder icons?), but “Research” icon okay, every child icon under it greyed:
Greyed “book” and default document icons, “Draft” icon appears okay:
You have View > Use Label Color in > Icons selected, and those items have a white label. You will need to change them to have “No Label” to get rid of the white colour tinting.
Incidentally, those items do have a white label, but I didn’t choose it. It seems that label was ported over from my 1.x project’s “No label” selection, and converted into a white label, instead of using version 2’s “No label” selection. Here’s a portion of the drop-down “Label” menu:
That’s because 1.x didn’t have a “no label” option, so that really is just a white label to simulate it. Scrivener has no way of knowing you wanted to remove that particular label.
Hum, I’m pretty sure 1 had a “no label”. In fact, I looked, and sure enough, there it is. Don’t recall adding that myself.
Anyway, removing the white “No label” in 2 reverts all documents and folders to the “real” label-less state. Handy in not having to manually select the “no label” option for hundreds of documents.
