Had to reinstall Scrivener and now License key doesn't work

I had to reinstall Scrivener on my computer (Windows 11), and apparently installed Scrivener 3 instead of whichever version I had before. Now my license key isn’t working to activate it. Do I just need to download an older version, or pay to upgrade and get a new key? I would prefer to upgrade if possible, but I’m not sure how to do that.
