HI,
I d’ont know if that thread is better into support or bug, I let you decide when reading.
I am on the beta version from Scriv235b-170113.zip
I intend to have the following structure:
PRELIMINARY ELEMENTS
“texte” (done with several documents)
INTRO
“texte” (done with several documents)
Chapter 1 “title”
“texte” (maybe)
1.1 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
1.2 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
etc…
Chapter 2 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
2.1 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
2.2 “title”
etc…
CONCLUSION
“texte” (done with several documents)
I am using <$Hn> for my chapter and document numbering and putting it into the title (no prefixes).
So far so good, it works.
But when, in the INTRO, i have to describe the development structure and I wanted to use the scrivener link with <$Hn> it updates correctly (I mean according to the new numbering) into the texte but increment the numbering by 1 resulting into:
PRELIMINARY ELEMENTS
“texte” (done with several documents)
INTRO
“texte” (done with several documents)
Chapter 2 “title”
“texte” (maybe)
2.1 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
2.2 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
etc…
Chapter 3 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
3.1 “title”
“texte” (done with several documents)
3.2 “title”
etc…
CONCLUSION
“texte” (done with several documents)
How should I proceed to keep the link numbering and not having this new incrementation?
Plus, I don’t know if it would go to the wish list but when link to a an existing document, if the title document is change after the link creation, the link in the texte is not updated. Meaning:
step 1:create a document named “fibble fubble”
step 2: create link to this document as “As seen in chapter fibble fubble”
step 3: changing document name for “bibble bubble”
step 4: link in the texte became “As seen in chapter bibble bubble”
This could save the time to re-visit all links to re-edit it.
of cour the <$Hn> int he name should update too.
Regards,
Chris
