How do you change the color of the Highlight current line option. Is that theme related, or am I missing a setting, have tried multiple appearance options without success.
Unfortunately saw old message that highlight current line option is a hard coded option. You suggestions does not change the color
Those colts effect line if drag cursor over words. Highlight current line is identical in editor and composition mode. No change of any variable changes the color
This ?
Yes. Unlike “Text Selection Background”, “Current Line Highlight” has only one setting for the two.
And it is one or the other.
Meaning: if you have selected text, the “Current Line Highlight” turns off; displaying only the selected text highlight/background.
Has this answered your question ?
I agree with @Vincent_Vincent, this is not a correct statement. Changes to the Current Line Highlight setting will change the current line hightight.
@GoalieDad Perhaps you could share your theme & the exact settings that don’t seem to work?
Best,
Jim
You are right I did before but it did not seem to change, it does using the method above.
So…
Basically what you are saying is that when you ask an “how to” question, you don’t actually try what is suggested. (?)
You asked, I showed you how.
You said it didn’t work.
I took upon my time to provide you with proof that it does, you still said it didn’t work.
…and spiced up the question with details that weren’t in the initial question.
But… why then even ask the question to begin with ?
. . . . . . . . . . .
Normally I wouldn’t say much about it, but in this case not answering your question would have perpetuated false statements on the forum…
It is not the first time this happens. Perhaps next time give some credit to those who reply to your queries. And at least try what is suggested as a fix to what you ask to be helped with ?
I misunderstood. I am very sorry to have offended you, Please forgive me, I will try never to commit such a mistake again.
I am not offended. (Ok, perhaps a little, but nothing to make a case of.)
I just want you to realize how counterproductive the thing was.
