Highlighters

Hi
I have 2 questions in relation to highlighters in Scrivener.

  1. Is there a shortcut available for the various highlighter colours? Sometimes when I use full screen I want to be able to highlight text and I don’t want to always have to exit out of full text just to be able to select a highlighter colour.

  2. Is it possible to rename the names of each highlighter colour or in some way be able to label them so I know what each colour means.

I searched the manual and could not find an answer. I also searched previous threads but could only find answers for Mac, I use Windows.

Thanks for any help!

  1. There is no keyboard shortcut, but you don’t need to exit full screen. Just select the text you want to highlight, right click with your mouse, and go to the highlighters sub-menu.

  2. Nope, sorry. A lo-tech solution would be to stick a sticky note on your monitor which you have marked up with highlighter pens. I recommend Dinosaur Comics sticky notes.
