Highlighting a word gives me word thesaurus

For some reason now when I highlight a word in my Scrivener editor, it always gives me a drop down menu of word suggestions. This is driving me bonkers. It’s not auto-fill. The word is already there. I’m just selecting a word because I want to move it, or delete it, or whatever. But every time I highlight a word, it gives me a dang word substitution drop-down list.

I’ve checked all my settings in both Scriver and MacOs and can find nothing.

Help!

BTW, I also have ProWriting Aid Everywhere, but it is not activated. I don’t think that’s the problem, but maybe there’s some hidden feature I don’t know about?

Thanks for any help. I’m losing my mind here.

Never mind. It was ProWriting Aid Everywhere. I thought I had deactivated it. But I went into the Utilities and looked at the Activity Monitor, and there it was. So I stopped it, and that solved the problem.
