Hi,
I’m using Apple magic Keyboard (num keys included),
the “home” and "end’ keys work as expected on other applications I’ve tested (jumping cursor to start/end of the line) but in Scrivener they have the same functionality as “page up” and “page down”.
I tried to assign them as shortcut keys for Scrivener, but they can’t be assigned.
Does anybody know how to make them work in Scrivener as they do in other applications?
Thanks Brookter, wasn’t aware.
I wonder then what’s the PageUp & PageDown keys are for, the Apple doc doesn’t mention them.
In scrivener they have identical functionality at Home & End
I can’t test this as I don’t have a keyboard with those keys on, but I think it’s
HOME / fn-left / cmd-up = beginning of document
END / fn-right / cm d-down = end of document
PAGE UP / fn-up = screen up
PAGE DOWN / fn-down = screen down
Others:
BEGINNING OF LINE = cmd-left / ctl-a
END OF LINE = cmd-right / Ctl-e
yes, you’re right, though I’m not a fan of this setup, especially not on an external keyboard that’s more spaced apart.
but I just found this: karabiner-elements.pqrs.org/ - which solved all my problems.
Thanks for you help
