I can’t manage to Login after another battle of sign-in and Log-in. I invent every time new names and passwords. At the end I don’t know what I did, when and where.
What should I do to get in contact with the community?
Suggest you settle on only one of your ID’s to use. And keep a record of the password. I see from another post (which I assume is you) the id @Auschilles also works. Pick one.
And perhaps its some sort of security software on you computer getting in the way. I don’t know. I do know that this Discourse (the forum service provider, not Scrivener) is robust and in use by probably millions of people.
a name is “Schall” und “Rauch” (“Sound” and “Smoke”) Goethe once wrote. But we all need a name. RMS has two meanings already. So you know the problems.
May I introduce myself: My real name is Joachim. I’m from West Germany and was a TV-Journalist. Now my autobiography is written. It started 5 years or more on WORD, then PAGES and finally SCRIVENER (SCR), because I could write separate chapters without having a big chunk of text.
The idea behind SRC pleased me. And in addition it came from England. So it’s somehow closer to me than some companies in America. That counts a bit - just to feel good. I like England (all the U.K.) since my childhood, when the Beatles took over the lead in Pop-Music. I have a friend very close to the Isle of Wight. He tells me stories about musicians he once met. He knew Rick Wakeman (YES) personally and was at the end a stage member (piano) of the Drifters.
One of the 18 chapters of my manuscript is dealing with PITCAIRN Island. So I’m a little bit familiar with “both” islands. I set foot on both of them. And on 46 pages I’m trying to tell the whole story of the Bounty-Descendants. They are very lonely people in the Pacific. - I once met Edward Heath in his mansion in Salisbury. In his living room we played piano together - just for fun. Nice person. He was very british and gentle. - Now you vaguely can guess what my manuscript is all about. It’s my life and the people I once met all over the world.
It’s written, but not yet printed. Perhaps it never will touch the ground. But I want to let it print now, to see how it looks like in my hands with its 200 color-photographies and 550 pages. -
I think that’s enough for the moment. I’ll close this posting and open a new one to talk about my difficulties to compile the project in a decent way. Perhaps someone can guide me to solve some issues. That would be much appreciated.
Personally I never logout. My account is permanently logged in here. But when I first created the accont I saved the password in my browser’s (Firefox) saved logins feature so should I ever need to logout getting back in is trivial.
