Hi,
I’m sick and tired to Windows11.
Therefore mainly, I’m using Scribener 3.1.4.1 in Windows10 22H2 without connecting Internet.
But I could not update it to 3.1.6.
Because I was afraid to loose activation of “Acrobat DC” when I connected to internet.
“Acrobat DC” is very important soft for me.
And I am afraid of getting internet virus or influenced by evil attack when I connect to internet.
My question is how I can update Scribener to 3.1.6 for “getting Licenced” without connecting internet.
Thank you for reading.
Download the installer from the computer you are currently using, transfer it via a thumbdrive (scan for viruses ?) and run it on your internet-free other computer.
If your current version has been activated, the upgrade should be without any request to re-enter your license key.
By the way, the security updates for Windows 10 have been extended up until October 2027. Support will possibly be re-extended even further (you never know). And antivirus software companies are doing the same. Windows 10 is perfectly safe (or as it used to be) to use connected to the internet.
Dear Vincent_Vincent,
Thank you for your kindness and help.
Your advice is the best solution.
I’ll try.
And I am using the Windows10 PC without connecting internet at all.
Thank you for your concern.
God bless you. (^o^)
Yes, I understood that. But your worries are ill-founded. Windows 10 is safe to use with the internet. Have your antivirus update its virus definitions, and then just use your Win10 computer like before.
Or don’t …
