I want to see my pages when I write. I did View Insert Page Break and nothing. I could not find Page Break Before in complile. Thank You
I am also having a hard time figuring out how to view pages and page numbers. I would like to be able to see pages and their numbers before I compile. Otherwise it’s just one long stream of writing and I have no idea how many pages I’ve generated or where paragraphs, sentences, etc. end on a page. I went through the manual but it oddly has nothing to say about page numbers or viewing the text you are working on as individual pages (i.e., such as in Word or really any word processing program).
Before compile, there is no way to see page numbers. Scrivener’s design diverges from the complexity of a regular word processor to give you the flexibility to break your story into smaller segments, include your research, have notes and keywords and snapshots… Most non-script-writing submissions guidelines are based on the number of words anyway. If you’re looking for some form of progress tracking, take a look at Project->Project Targets, where you can set an overall goal, and a “session” goal.
There may or may not be a page view in the windows version outside of the Script Writing mode, but you might search the manual. Sorry I can’t point you to that, but maybe someone in the know can jump in with that answer.
Thank you!
