How I can change the default editor for scripts?

Is there any way I can set up scrivener to use ‘Final Draft’ to edit my screenplay rather than Scivener’s built in features?

8 (or Format → Scriptwriting). Or you create a new project based on one of the “Scriptwriting” templates. And then it’s a matter of Export or Compile to .fdx.

The closest you will get to that is with something like this, only with Final Draft in the light tan area of that screenshot, rather than a Markdown/coding editor. This post walks though some of the details of using that setup; again though you’ll want to skim over the parts about Markdown. You’ll be setting the file type for the sync folder to .fdx, not plain-text .md.
