How many times should i clic on the sync button for the content of my ipad scrivenr goes to dropbox ?
Here is more than one hour that i do that, that i explore all settings in scrivener / dropbox in deep details. Each time scrivener tells me that the sync is ok.
But my dropbox stays desperatly empty.
Is there a number or a frequence of clic to activate this ?
Suggestions : there are a looooot of possibilité to sync (google drive/ pc cloud) is one among others) which are cheaper and better working thn dropbox.
Why just one partnership with them?
And if you can’t help me to sync, ipad/ dropbox… how could you persuade me to buy a pc version of scrivener ?
I just dont want to rewrite all ive done in my ipad. I just want a sync.
its simple : if your soft is dropox dependant and this dependance dont allow me to make a very simple communication beetween an ipad and a pc… well.
At 2020, sync is a very simple operation for a lot of app and softs.
Why this is not possible with scrivener ?
As you see, i’m very very very upset, i just lost an evening of works just to repare something who should works at the first time.
What should i do now ?
Lose another evening ? (((

how can i deplace all my works in the scrivener ipad, in a dropbox/pcloud/google drive, for that i can work on a PC scrivener i could buy if it works. thanks
Could you show a screen shot of your projects screen in Scrivener, and of your Dropbox settings in Scrivener, and then of the corresponding folders on your PC?

No i have not install dropbox or scrivener on my pc.
My first step is make my works in the ipad, go to dropbox.
when this will be done, i’m sure that there will be no problemo to install scrivener/dropbox on my pc.
I just dont want to buy install scrivener pc if my works are blocked in the ipad.
all my settings are done, when i click the sync button, ipad scrivener says that dropbox have been updated.
But the folder scrivener in dropbox is empty. totally empty.
I understand that the sync works in one direction : from dropbox to ipad.
I just want the other direction : from ipad to dropbox.
Maybe its not possible ?
What folder have you told Scrivener to update to?
And it would still be nice to see your projects screen in Scrivener, just to make sure that you have your project in the area syncing with Dropbox and not only on your iPad.
You have to move them to the part in Scrivener that says Dropbox. You have all your projects stored only on your iPad.
Click on Modifier and drag them to the part above, Dropbox. You will still have them on your iPad but they will also be uploaded to the Dropbox server.
my angriness is due to the fact that i have plenty of clouds (amazon/drive/dropbox/pcldoud/onedrive etc etc etc.)
and to see this soft quite expansive (i have to buy it on ipad, and mac, and pc) olbiged me to have only the choice of dropbox !
i use a lot of very complex softs (Mao, pao, video, 3D effects…) and i have to say that the interface of ipd scrivener (whichi is a nice soft) is really really complex ! And the choice to marry it only with dropbox is a big penality.
well… i will be pleased when the sync will be effective.

You click Modifier, and then get three lines to the right of each project, simply hold on it and drag the project. It’s a universal iOS gesture. One project at a time.
I’d tap Sync after each project.
