Since I’ve had SO MANY problems with that new high res native display, I’m pretty sure that it IS a problem in Scrivener. All these problems went away with software updates. Usually have to check some box for high res and it works.
What’s so strange is that I’ve used external monitors for so many years and I cannot remember a single display issue – they work or they don’t.
And of course the pdfs display perfect outside Scrivener on the Asus monitor.
What I don’t understand is why you need your display to be boosted at 250% with such a high resolution.
Why not set it to 100% at 1920x1080 ?
Everything would be just a tad smaller, but I bet that’s where the issue comes from.
Anyways, I guess it also depends on how much you actually need PDFs to display properly.
Do you know that you can also link to them in a project by drag and drop into a document (not in the binder itself) ? All you have to do is drop the PDF in a document, where you want the link to be.
Clicking that link would open the PDF in your usual PDF viewer, but with the link/reference available from within your project.
You say you don’t have display issues in your other app, so that would definitely fix your problem. If still convenient enough.
“What I don’t understand is why you need your display to be boosted at 250% with such a high resolution.

Because that’s how it works. And you still don’t seem to understand that I’m using Scrivener on the external monitor and these are the settings for the native display on my notebook computer where Scrivener displays pdfs PERFECTLY.

No, not really, I’ll have to look into that.
Installed at least 5 apps since Friday and they either don’t work as advertised or there are no instructions or just a bunch of bugs. Kinda burned out on all this now …
Well, I’m sorry you’re offended, but how many times have I posted this now?
As I previously posted, I appreciate your assistance. But I don’t need people to waste my precious time.
Why are you posting here that it’s MY fault that Scrivener doesn’t display the pdfs properly on my monitor while the exact same files display PERFECTLY in other apps on the same monitor?
A gentle reminder to all thread participants that frustration is normal when dealing with a difficult issue, and that attacking someone either for being frustrated or for unsuccessfully trying to help is counterproductive.
