How to automatically overwrite existing file on compile?

I’m a new MacOS user and unfamiliar with some conventions that differ from Windows.

When I compile a file and try to save it over an existing file, I get this dialog box. I’m forced to mouse-click an option - can’t use keyboard shortcuts to cycle or select.

Is there a way to either skip being asked and simply force overwrite when compiling, or to select Replace via keyboard command? Is this a Scrivener behavior, or the native OS?

After you enable “Keyboard Navigation” (I believe it’s off by default) you can hit tabspace

 → System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard navigation

To answer the question, it’s a macOS convention to avoid you accidentally overwriting something you want to keep. I’ve not seen away (nor would I want to) to suppress the warning.

As above, if you select keyboard Navigation you can use the Tab key to move between the options

⌘R should also trigger “replace” even if keyboard navigation is off IINM.
