Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask this. I’m new to Scrivener and wondering how to change my quotation marks to the (curly) English ones? My laptop is set to German and automatically does the German quotation marks „Like this“ but I’m writing in English and therefore want the English ones “like this”. My Scrivener is in English and I’ve even set my laptop to English for this but it’s still doing the German quotation marks. If I go to edit, substitutions and switch on smart quotes, it does do English quotes but the straight ones, which I find quite ugly and never use. So how do I get both English and curly (idk what else to call them) quotation marks, ideally while being able to switch my laptop language back to German? I feel like there must be a way.
Scrivener should use whatever macOS offers, and you can change that under System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources. It’s a “one size fits all” setting and doesn’t care about the system language (could be what you’re looking for or turn out super annoying).

Thanks, good to know that it’s not Scrivener but my laptop! You were right. I was able to change it back to German and changed the general quotation marks to English ones (I never need the German ones anyway) and switched on smart quotes on Scrivener to get the curly ones, yay!
