I love to use the project notes on MacOS. But i cannot find them, wenn i open the project on the iPad. How can i open the notes and how can i keep them visible? (sorry for mistakes, no native speaker)
Thank you in advance
Make sure you can see the binder on the left, and choose your document. Donāt edit the document, just have it selected.
Click on the little āiā in the header bar.
The info panel will appear on the left, with the notes visible.
Does that help?
Do you mean Project Bookmarks, which have the capability to act as a sort of global project note? If so, the āBookmarksā entry at the top of the binder when you first enter the project is where you will find them. They must be navigated to this way, there is no global interface for them like on Mac/PC.
Thank you both for trying to help me. AmberV is right, i wantet to see the global project notes. I can find the Bookmark-Entry, but the global note is not shown there, only the notes under the Folder notes. In the desktop-version of the software i can in the project bookmars klick on notes and i have there a note, which i see no matter which scene is selected. Like a top-level-note. I cant see it on the iOS-Version.
Thank you again.
Yes, itās different on iOS as it does not have an inspector that can view project bookmarks in a list. So you would navigate to them directly like binder items, and then use the history button in the header bar to get back to where you were (and back to the note if you want, later on).
Do note that if you are on an iPad you can load the project note into Quick Reference, which uses the binder sidebar. So you can have it open on the left while working on the right, and easily reload quick ref items by tapping on the header bar for the sidebar.
- Go to āBookmarksā in the Binder.
- Swipe left on the project note you want to work with.
- Tap āMoreā, and then select āQuick Referenceā.
At this point the sidebar would be replaced with the project note, and you can now use the history button to return to what you were working on in the main editor.
- Now say you want to load something else that isnāt in history. You will need the Binder for that, so tap the Back button in the sidebar to leave the project note.
- Load what you need in the main editor, and now tap once on the binder header bar.
- You will find a āQuick Referenceā section toward the bottom. Tap on that to bring your notes back. This will save the things you reference, so you do not have to keep navigating back to the list.
It is not quite as streamlined as the Mac/PC, yes, but you can get there.
Thank you very much, AmberV. I will try this.
