How to import a document and divide it in sections?

Hi all,

I’ve downloaded the trial version of Scrivener (for MacOS) and have been through the Tutorial. Still have a burning question: I have an ongoing writing project, saved in Word. Can I import this document into Scrivener, and THEN create sections? It’s a novel written in fragments, I have 65 pages already, I don’t want to re-type the whole thing. I’m guessing this is possible but I can’t seem to find how. I feel stupid. (!) Help!

File → Import → Import and Split is probably what you want.

You can also use the Documents → Split command to split the text up once it’s in Scrivener.
