Hi I’m trying to add my logo (image) to the top right corner of pages that will still be in line with the text Titles itself, instead of above it (keeping this better spaced), on Microsoft word this is basically word warp and you can select the image and place it where ever you want. How do I do this on Scriv?
I have a screenshot but it wont’ let me upload media on this forum for some reason
Scrivener is not able to wrap text around images. You might be able to accomplish what you want with tables, but a better choice would be to use a true page layout tool for your final formatting.
This is a year old thread but I recently found a work around for logos that worked well for me. My software publishing logo never quite looked crisp on my title page. I had tried various ways of inserting it, as both .png and .svg files. And as this thread discusses, there is no way to wrap text around an image like a logo.
What worked for me was treating my logo as text. I have a simple black and white logo. I decided to see if I could make my logo part of a font. I’m using the latest version of Scrivener 3 on macOS Ventura, by the way. So I found an online font generator. In my case I used calligraphr.com. I downloaded a template, shrank my logo down to fit into a place holder in the template, uploaded and created a simple font that consists of one character, my logo. I was surprised how well it works. On my title page, I switched to my custom font, typed my character, and there was my logo nice and crisp. By changing the size of the font, I could easily change the size of my logo. And I haven’t tried it yet but I don’t know why text wouldn’t flow around the logo, since it is essentially text. This worked very well for compiling as a pdf. I haven’t tried it in other formats.
Well I tried to add a screenshot of it to this reply but not working. Is it because I’m new to the forum and somewhat restricted for a time? It shows a link but not the image as seen below.
