I purchased Scrivener in 2014 for my then MacBook. I recently purchased a new iMac desktop computer, and though I am entering my Scrivener Serial Number Name and then Serial Number into the trial I installed on my iMac, it continues to say I have the wrong Name or Serial Number. However, I have copied and pasted them exactly from my original Scrivener invoice. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, how did you solve it?
Did you install Scrivener Version 2 or 3 on your new iMac? It’s a paid update, so the Serial Number is different. Your Serial Number from 2014 is for Scrivener 2.
Ah, that is it, Jolanth- thank you. I will have to see if it is possible to download Scrivener 2 then to my new device? Is that correct? I have saved work I am needing to transfer to my new Desktop device.
