How to see FULL MS in Scrivener for iOS

Hello all. I’m trying to do something which I feel should be super simple but absolutely cannot figure out how. All I want to do is be able to see/edit my ENTIRE MS in one continuous text on my iPad. I do it all the time on the desktop version by simply click on “Manuscript” in the binder. However, when I do this on the iPad (clicking on “Draft”) all I get is the cork board view with no way to switch to the actual manuscript. (I like to write in full Manuscript view because then I can see my ENTIRE word count for the whole text, not just the particular chapter I am working on). Any suggestions?

You want the Draft Navigator view, which is discussed in the Finding Your Place section of the Tutorial project. However, this is not a true “Scrivenings” view like the desktop versions have: you can read and navigate, but you can’t edit in it.

You might also like to know that tapping on the live word count for the current document will bring up the Draft Target pane, which includes the total count. That’s discussed in the “Targets” section of the Tutorial.

Hi Kewnms,

Thanks for the tip - unfortunately the Draft Navigator isn’t really what I’m looking for because as you mentioned, you can’t edit it there. I fid this really strange as this seems like such aan obvious and basic feature…. Oh well, good to know about the tapping the word count - didn’t know that so I’m halfway toward a fix! Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, quite a lot has to happen behind the scenes to make it work, and iOS isn’t as friendly an environment as Mac OS.
