I wondered if there is a way to “see pages” in composition mode. I have it set in the main editor, but I simply cannot find a way to do this in composition mode.
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Yes, the command for toggling page view is available in Composition: View ▸ Text Editing ▸ Show Page View, along with the keyboard shortcut. It’s worth exploring the main menu while in Composition mode, many things are available there that aren’t in the strip along the bottom because there isn’t space to put everything there.
