I can't open the Scrivener files from Dropbox on Macbook

I have Scrivener on both my windows PC and Macbook. When I try to open the files I created on the PC from the Macbook, I get the following mesage:

The document (name.scrivx) could not be opened. “Name.scrivx” is the main structure file for a project, but other required files for this project could not be found: the Files/Data and /Settings folders are missing.

Unfortunately support is off until the holidays are over, so any help with this problem would be appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure Dropbox is configured to store files locally on both computers. That should resolve the issue.

And make sure you have the entire .scriv folder and all sub-folders, not just the .scrivx file.

Did you use the Dropbox application on both systems, or the web interface?

FYI, we are indeed off this week, but inability to open a project is a legitimately “urgent” request.

Thanks to you both! Took me a while but I have it working now.
