I have a 100,000-word MS Word first draft that I would like to import and edit in Scrivener. I like the corkboard in principle, but how onerous will it be to divide chapters and chapter sections into cards? Any tips on how best to do that? Also, will I regret losing Word formatting if I want to revert to Word again? Thanks.
The Import and Split command is your friend.
Read the Tutorial if you haven’t already.
If you split the document in pieces, you will need to use the Compile command to glue the pieces back together again. Whether that is onerous depends on how complex your formatting is.
