I recently recommended Scrivener to my father for his memoirs project. His computer experience is limited and he’s still using AppleWorks (yikes!). I looked through Scriveners help documentation for compatible file formats. By any chance is AppleWorks an RTF format? And if not, should I recommend that he go through the steps of exporting his AW documents into RTF if that’s available as a Save As option? Thanks for any feedback …
AppleWorks should be able to export as RTF - that would be the best way of doing things. If he tries to import an AppleWorks file directly, the text will get imported, but with a lot of gobbledy-gook around it and no formatting.
How good is this
piece of kit? It just seems to get better and better and…
