In Which Collection Is the Document?

How can I see which collection a document is in, while I have the doc in an editor window before me?

Hi.

If it matters as per your system/approach what collection(s) (and if any) a document is or isn’t in, I would recommend that you rather use (a) dynamic collection(s), and have it/them based on metadata. (I’d personally use keywords. “Collection X” … “Collection Y”.)
Consulting the metadata for a document, in the inspector, will answer the question.

Otherwise there is no way that I know of to directly get the info you seek. (To my knowledge, what collection(s) a said document is in isn’t reported anywhere other than in the collection itself.)

Thx Vincent … I’ll look into this.

. . . . . . . . . .

The document will be automatically added to that collection :

…And now looking at keywords in the inspector tells you if a document is in one or more of these collections and which.

That will work , but what I do is make sure the collection name is descriptive of its use, function, or purpose. So if a need
