My computer crashed while I had a project open. When I got back on and tried to open the project again, I got a message saying that the project was incompatible with this version of scrivener. Any suggestions? Or is the project gone? Other projects that weren’t open at the time are fine.
Never mind. I found the answer right here - I should have kept looking in the first place. The “version.txt” file was empty. I changed it to read “16” and everything is fine. Weird.
Yeah, that file gets zero-ed out on the disk under some conditions, and if the project crashes in that timeframe the file ends up empty. It doesn’t always happen when there is a crash, only some of the time.
