Indented Docs in Scrivenings View

In Scrivenings view, the text of all documents is displayed left-aligned, in a “flat” manner. At times, it would be useful to have the Scrivenings text blocks reflect the project structure, ie. have the text of child documents indented according to their position in the project.

This probably wouldn’t be the best solution, as it could result in deeply nested items getting awfully squished up on the right side. What I’ve been doing a lot lately is having one split show the outline and another show the scrivenings session for that outline. The nice thing about this layout is that not only can you get a depth overview of what you are working on, if you set up the outliner to auto-load and lock the scrivenings session, it works as a single-click table of contents, too.

This wouldn’t work, either, because the only way of doing it would be to change the actual indentation of the text - that is, the formatting itself.
All the best,
Keith
