Index Card Status Doesn't Show

I would like to use the feature where it marks my index cards as “To Do” or “Done”. I control-click the index card and have changed the Status to “To Do”, but the label doesn’t show up on the card. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

Sounds like the stamps might be switched off. Try: View --> Index Cards --> Show Stamps
