I’ve been using Scrivener 3.1.5 on Linux under Wine (64-bit) for over a year now, and I’m very pleased with it. I’m glad, because with the latest coming from MicroShaft I’ve decided to move away from Windows altogether. I’ll keep an activated Windows 10 copy for as long as I can, but when it’s no longer supported (or when my hardware craps out)…bye bye, Weendows.
So I’m being very cautious about new software which I purchase. I’d like to try Scapple with an eye to purchasing it, but I haven’t seen any reports as to how well it works and plays with WINE. I prefer the WINE solution to a VM because, technically, a VM requires its own licensed copy of the OS. Does anyone have success (or failure) to report in that regard?
