Is setting separate default bookmarks preview text size available?

Continuing the discussion from Default Writing Font?:

When I attempt to us the "Format > Make Formatting Default command* in the bookmarks preview area, I get a lengthy (and scary ha-ha) dialog box signaling I’m going to change the default font throughout the entire project. Something I don’t want to do.

Is setting a way to just set the default bookmarks preview text size?

You can zoom in/out.
I run the Windows version, can’t be sure that’ll work for you, but for the Windows version it is
Ctrl & +/- (⮘EDIT: this one actually doesn’t work for the bookmark panel. My bad.)
or Ctrl & mousewheel
or hover + touchpad two fingers slide apart.

Unless you are absolutely certain that the bookmarked document is to be and remain a bookmark and nothing else, changing the font size is not the way to go about it.
– And even then, you wouldn’t have to go to the extreme and change the default formatting for that. Rather use the font size increase/decrease function on the sole concerned document’s content :

@Vincent_Vincent Thanks for the insight…

To be specific, the use case I am experiencing is a quick look at the bookmarked document’s content while in the inspector > bookmarks preview setting.

Being able to increase the default font in this preview setting will help reduce what is now known in other areas as a “toggle tax”. Having to implement a keyboard maneuver, while in a creative state, is a ‘toggle tax’ I prefer not to pay. I’d rather have the optiong of setting a defualt size.

When you zoom in, it is the panel that is zoomed in and not the document itself. Meaning: once you’ve got it comfortable, it’ll remain so, even if you have it display another document.

It is not something that requires to be done over and over.

– This not an insight. It is how the app works.

The size of the preview is determined by the size and font of the document attached to bookmarks.
So yes, it can be larger, smaller and different between items been previewed, even on the same item been previewed.

@Vincent_Vincent I recognize and respect what you present. But there is more…

ref: “Meaning: once you’ve got it comfortable, it’ll remain so, even if you have it display another document.”

I appologize for being so tedious, but…

What keyboard combination or pull down menu are you using to get the “it’ll remain so, even if you display another document”? I can’t seem to make it work.

@RevoTiLlor I was unaware of the relationship you mention. This is illustrative. For having clicked into the bookmark preview space and zoomed in on the text, I noticed how the text in the original document also increased.

In my current case, that would be two fingers on touchpad, slide them apart.
