Is there an Android App in development?

I’ve never really gotten used to Markdown.

You probably use a bunch of them without realising, to be fair. We’re effectively in one right now. Then there are some huge text editors that are entirely web apps - VSCode, for example - that can cope with vast documents and have slick multi-paned UI/UX (they’re just packaged inside Electron and distributed as a regular app).

Discord is another one that is very slick. The desktop version is ‘just’ JavaScript + Chrome, packaged up.

Massive difference between a forum and an app focused on writing and compiling.

I’ve used a number and have been disappointed with all.

Discord displays all the same issues as any web app. A pretty face does not make up for the fundamental issues.

I’ve done writing work with my iPad(s) for years. If it’s all that I have to do – writing – I don’t see why I should bring with me all the weight of the other tasks. The detachable keyboard is pure joy.

And I don’t drink soda!
