Is there any way to label a connector line in Scapple (Windows)?
I want to create a description of the connection between two topics.
e.g. If I have an arrow from topic A to topic B, I want to add a label describing the arrow itself.
i.e. I want a single arrow with text applied to it. No, I do not want the arrow broken into two smaller arrows because that would have a different semantic meaning.
PS I have just discovered that on the Apple version (v1.3) there seems to be an option called “Connection Label” on the Notes menu.
(see: youtu.be/4cOCqK_XHh8?t=140)
However, on my Windows version (1.0.0.0) there doesn’t seem to have that option.
Is there any plan to create an equivalent "version 1.3 on Windows that would also have “Connection Labels”?
Let’s put it this way, Mac v.3 was feature complete when it was put out for (internal) beta testing and it was about 10 months before it was finally launched. Windows v.3 beta was made public in Nov 2017 even though it was and is far from feature complete; it is a public beta so those using both platforms can test it cross-platform (perhaps among other reasons).
So you can make your own estimate as to when it will be ready for launch, as L&L won’t make an announcement until they’re sure it’s ready.
Hi. I just bought Scapple, one of the major aspects that sold it to me was the ability to have notes on connector lines. Clearly the tutorial video shows this, however after purchasing it would seem that the Windows version doesn’t seem to support this. Looking through the forum brings me to this thread.
It’s now Feb 2021: I’m a little disappointed that the functionality for connection notes still isn’t available for Windows - though it equally appears that the latest / most up to date version is 14 Nov 2019.
Could you let me know if this feature is ever going to be added to your product. If not, I may need to go elsewhere/get a refund as this (as others have mentioned) is a bit of a deal-breaker.
