There’s also an OS X version called iThoughts X which synchs with it. It’s discounted 20% for the iOS version release, but that’s still a substantial $47.99. Mac users can get it though their App Store app.
The original iTHoughts was, to my mind, the best iOS mind mapping application and one of the best mind mapping apps overall. Although I haven’t used it much lately, I found that it could do as much, sometimes more, than most of the desktop apps I tried. It’s import and export options were particularly impressive and more than once I used it as a go-between Scrivener and other apps.
Really glad you posted as I missed the news that the original had been retired, and I would have been disappointed to miss out on the discount.
