Hi there, I just published my first murder mystery, ‘The Birthmark Murders – Death Is a Cabaret, Old Chum.’.
Without Scrivener it would have been almost impossible to write. I have been using Scrivener since it became available and I cannot sing enough of its praise.
I already completed my second novel, a coming-of-age story, 'Handful – A Boy at the End of the Rainbow", and it’s now with the editor for final proofreading. Again, Scrivener made it a breeze to write.
If you are interested, have a look at my website.
Janus, congratulations!
Thank you It’s been a fun ride but without Scrivener it would have been a very bumpy one.
Scrivener is an amazing program–I’m still discovering its capabilities.
Out of curiosity, as a murder mystery writer, have you used Aeon Timeline, by any chance? It occurred to me to ask because there is a sample project that uses Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. Since Aeon Timeline syncs beautifully with Scrivener, well, you know where I’m going.
Hi, SNC,
I have not used Aeon Timeline, but I will have a look. I didn’t know it syncs with Scrivener. I have created a simple Numbers solution to track everything from timelines to characters and individual scenes.
You can get a free trial. Be sure to load up the sample project for Murder on the Orient Express. It should give you a sense of whether it would be helpful for your next murder mystery. I was so inspired by it I might make my next novel a murder mystery.
I had a look and Aeon looks very promising. I will definetely test it. Thank you for the hint.
