Keywords not displaying in there colors

After assigning some keywords in my document and learning how I could change there color I was wondering how to get the keyboards to display in the document in the color chosen? Are they suppose to show up in the color… I am using the Windows version…

Hello there,
Keywords are used to find a particular document but won’t show up as such in a colour. Find pig fenders really good explanation here… pigfender.com/index.php/2013 … -keywords/

You can’t make the document (or it’s icon) change the color to the keywords because you can have more than one keyword per document. If you use the Label meta data, of which there can be only one per document, then you can show the color of that Label in the binder or cork board view. Note that you can see the keyword colors on the cork board as small colored tabs on the side of an index card by enabling that optoin…

For label color, see the options under
View->Use Label Color In…

For keywords, see
View->Corkboard Options->Show Keyword Colors

Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me… my confusion was that I was thinking of keywords as being actual words in the document… which I was going to search for and highlight…

Keywords are people, places, or events that occur within the document :bulb:

Keywords can help you keep track of anything you like. For instance, you can add “Subplot-B” or “LoveTriangleSubplot”. Or “HasContinuityErrors”. Or “MagicSword” if you need to track where Excalibur makes an appearance or is discussed. The possibilities are pretty much endless.

A keyword can mean, “A word (usu. one of several) chosen to indicate or represent the content of a larger document, text, record, etc., in an index, catalogue, or database. Later also: any word entered as a search term in a database or search engine,” (OED).
