Full-stops, commas, and apostrophes are all treated as part of the word. For apostrophes that behaviour is probably expected, but for the commas and full-stops it can absolutely mangle the work you’ve done so far.
I’m unsure if this is just a beta thing, or a scrivener thing but it’s definitely a problem. Especially if you’re unaware of it
I can confirm the adding of commas, exclamation marks, question marks, and periods to misspelled words if corrected results in the punctuation being removed from the correction. You can see it with the check spelling as you type
