With fixed width of the main editor.
When the scrollbar is not active the interval between the end of the textline and right border of the page is narrow.
When the scrollbar is active the interval between the end of the textline and and right border of the page is wider.

Thanks, this has been filed. It affects the editor whether using fixed-width or not, though it may be less noticeable in the latter case.
