Line breaks on index cards?

Does anyone know how to get line breaks on index cards? Normally it’s ctrl+enter but that doesn’t work. On Mac it’s apparently function key enter, but windows doesn’t have those. I know the functionality must be there since you can paste line breaks into them, just not put them in manually it seems??

Isn’t it usually SHIFT+Enter on Windows machines?

Hard return has typically been ctrl-enter, but shift-enter doesn’t work either :s

Enter inserts a line break if you uncheck “Return ends editing synopsis in corkboard and outliner” in Edit -> Options -> Navigation. However, once inserted, line breaks don’t seem to display properly for me on index cards.

I would really like a way to format what goes onto the index card. I mostly want to put lists there, and no breaks = no lists. Boo. (but I still love the program!)

That’s exactly what I wanted to do too. I prefer my synopses in point form.

Apparently, you go to Edit-Options-Navigation, then untick the box that says ‘Return ends editing synopsis in corkboard and outliner’.

Then hitting the return key will send you down a line.

However, I have found it doesn’t always stay in a list; sometimes it reverts to what it was before when you close Scrivener down/move onto another scene! so check it and report it if it proves wayward.
