How do I link a note to a specific place within a chapter? I see how to link a document, but I want to link a note to a paragraph or word.
Use metadata (keywords, labels, custom metadata) to tag documents for POV’s, locations, themes etc.
Can search for all the documents with a pov.
Now to tie to a specific piece of text.
Use a comment and highlight the text and write your note in the comment space. Then when look at the note with inspector open and comment pane open can see your notes. Clicking on a comment takes you to the point in the document where the text is.
You can also use Link to me option. So if character’s name is Bob and you have a Bob character profile, then if highlight and right-click on Bob will see near top or at the top option to Open and will see a list of documents with bob in their title and now have a link inside the text to the character profile. Clicking on the document title open it up. Clicking back in the editor will take you back to the original document. If there are no matches to the highlighted word(s) then nothing happens.
Select the paragraph or word and drag the Note from the Binder to the selected text.
