List Font

I’m unsure if this is a bug or that I have some setting off that I don’t know about it. Apologies in advance if someone has already brought up this issue. I’ve looked but I couldn’t find anything. But I’m willing to bet that’s there’s probably some setting that I have off…anyway, here goes:

When I set my base font in the main editor, every time I want to making either a numbered or bulleted list, the font changes to Helvetica automatically. It doesn’t matter what base font it is, Scrivener always changes it to Helvetica. Is this a bug or is this some setting I have off?

I believe this is a bug with Apple’s text engine that Scrivener uses; if so, you should see the same behavior in TextEdit which uses the same text engine.

From reports I’ve seen previously, it seems this may happen when the list is at the end of a document, the first line of a document, or if the font after the list is a different font than the default. Do any of these apply when you’re using bulleted lists?

If so, the workaround is to keep a little bit of padding (carriage returns) between your lists and top/bottom of the document and/or other text in the document and that should prevent the font change being triggered.

Yeah, when the list is at the end, the first line, or if the font of the list is different from the default all induce the bug on my end.

It’s not a big deal, I guess, but still a bug I hope Apple attends to.

thanks for the response!
