Hello,
I have an old project on scrivener 1.9 on windows 11 and I wanted to load it on my new version of scrivener v3 on my Macbook air M2.
I read it expect to have a beta version of the v3 on windows and save the project at this format. But where can I have a beta version to do that ?
Thanks for help,
The Mac version of Scrivener should be able to open this project directly. It will actually create a copy in the new v3 format and will leave the old project untouched.
The Windows v3 of Scrivener has been out of beta for quite a while. Just go to the downloads section and get the official v3 from there.
Yes, what you are describing requires no special steps, any current version of Scrivener can open projects created in older versions. If you require more details than that, refer to §5.1.6, Project Format Upgrades, in the user manual PDF. It describes the complete process you should expect.
I have this message when I try to open the project
scriv v3 issue
it seems like ‘dossier.scrivproj’ is missing
This is probably a different issue, involving an unhelpful Dropbox setting:

Thanks to all for your help. Yes I handle with dropbox that was unfortunately my error, I transfered the file by an USB key and effectively scrivener was able to open my old project in the new version I have on my Macbook air M2 ! Thanks
