This is my only wish. Screevener is a great, really really a great software. I bought v1. Hoping to see a localization in my language latter. At a time it was in the dev schedule. But now it seems abandoned. That’s disappointing.
Not abandoned! In fact as of right now, since Mountain Lion (and consequently the version of Scrivener ready for it) has been released, it’s one of the main priorities. I’ve spending the past few weeks working on researching technologies and we’ve already started thinking about the logistics of getting this done for all two (three if you count Linux) platforms.
This is a very good news Amber. I can’t wait to see the localized version coming out. By the way, will there be an update program for user of V1 to this version ?
Version 1 for the Mac? No this will only be an update for 2.x. The old version has been out of development for years now and at this point—within the realm of a translation of the phrases and labels at any rate—it almost constitutes another program entirely. It would be a ton of work and expense for something that is not even on sale. If you are still using the old version, do know you can upgrade for only $25 USD at any time.
Ok I understand. any work have to be paid. I’ll wait for V3 and buy the whole software when you’ll make it available.
Thank you, again, this is a real joy to know that Scrivener will be multilingual.
