Lock In Place doesn’t turn the Title Bar pink like the L&L vid tutorial says it will (to indicate this mode).

What theme are you using?

I believe the default behavior may have changed because the pink bar was not visible with all themes.

Is the editor in fact locked?

The video is now only accurate for the Windows version. This was changed some years back on the Mac, when the active split colour was changed from blue to any variety of rainbow colours, based on one’s macOS accent colour preference (the one that changes buttons, checkboxes and so forth). Since one of those choices is also light red—and any other colour that “said” warning/lock was a potential accent choice that would have resulted in two shades of it trying to say two different things—it was decided that it would be better to make lock indication more subtle, with the use of a small padlock icon, instead of using colour.
