My computer crashed while I had work saved on my trial account. Now that my computer is repaired, how do I get it back?
If set up properly you should have a project save generated on close. To find out where they are go files>options>backup and look for backup folder. You should save the backups on a cloud server or external hard drive for just this reason.
All files are stored locally unless you’ve set up a cloud service that you would have been using as a hard-drive.
There is no “Scrivener account” or anything the likes. Literature and Latte doesn’t host users’ files.
I think I’m out of luck. I like the program and will purchase it and review the tutorials more carefully. Fortunately, not that much has been lost. Thank you!
Was your hard-drive re-formatted during repair?
If not, the files must be somewhere still.
You can search your drive(s) for *.scriv
The trial of scrivener is fully functional and the saves are full versions and if you made any they can be opened and viewed by the program unless hard drive was reformatted.
