Was the idea of implementing computer speech beginning simply with the current cursor position, rather than having to highlight a block of text for it to speak, then re-highlighting most of that same block of text every time a text change was made? Sure would be handy.
I’m not sure what you mean. But currently speech starts from the cursor position.
Wow! That’s great. I’d been using a shortcut key made in the Mac OS preference panel for this, and only now realize that I should set up a shortcut key for the Scrivener menu command.

Ah, glad it did what you wanted! Yes, I added this for 2.0 - by default the standard speech system always starts at the beginning again, which is annoying.
