Manual could be more helpful

I did not import anything into the file that I am discussing. As I said, I pasted unformatted text. There should not be anything that limits the text or location of the text, other that the basic Project itself. When I “Show Invisibles’’ then is nothing but spaces.

I’d double-check your margin settings in Page Setup. There was a known bug/quirk where if you submit the dialogue box after having typed in a value, with the field still active, it wouldn’t save your modification. You’d have to Tab out of the field, or click elsewhere, to have it saved.[1]

Since compiling with most of the stock formats will use your page settings, such an inadvertent setting would carry over to output too.

  1. Might want to check for updates, too, as I recall that being fixed ages ago. ↩︎

You are correct. The margins did reset themselves when I went back to the project. Thank you for the insight and please suggest that error correction to someone who is responsible.

Hello @richgibula. When you see the stylised S next to the person’s name, you know you are talking to “someone who is responsible” (and in this case @AmberV is the primary driver behind the manual, for instance). All the best with building on the margin reset information.

Thank you very much. It is becoming easier as I works out the bugs and the style differences.

This looks like a great app.
